SM Mall of Asia Pasay – Philippines

Operating since mid-2006, The SM Mall of Asia Pasay is one of the largest Malls in Metro Manila by the biggest mall chain and developer in the Philippines, SM Prime Holdings. It is located in Bay City, Pasay City. MoA has four buildings interconnected by walkways, malls, entertainment, and two parking buildings. The mall offers shopping and dining establishments. There is also an entertainment area that is mostly open-air such as restaurant-bars, KTV, buffet restaurants facing the Manila Bay. It also includes a theme park but that is non-operational at the time due to the pandemic.

Recently, SM MoA Globe became controversial after it allegedly went missing and was stolen last November 14, 2021.

Kid Friendly and IMAX Theatre

The mall is child-friendly, with ample places to rest and even grab an ice cream. One of the mall’s main attractions is the IMAX theatre; the San Miguel-Coca Cola IMAX is the largest one in the country and offers one of the world’s largest screens in 3D and 2D screenings.

Venues

The mall is also home to sports and events venues like the SM Arena where PBA and UAAP are being held. SMX Convention Center is the main place for exhibits and trade expo. Esplanade is the event’s venue for parties while the Philippine first Olympic-sized Ice skating rink is also located here.

Ikea will open up here in MoA Complex. Ikea provides affordable, quality furniture and home accessories for. It will open on November 25, 2021, and is located at Marina Way, Mall of Asia Complex Pasay City.
