Pandacan is a district in Manila, Philippines. It is the former Pandacan oil depot, which supplied the majority of the country’s oil exports. It was Manila’s industrial center. Along the district’s banks of the Pasig River, oil depots that service more than half of the country’s fuel requirements were there. Moreover, the district’s name is from the word “Pandanan”. It is based on the Pandan plant, a fragrant, edible species endemic to the area. The majority of residents are from the lower- to upper-middle classes. Original residents work as blue-collar workers in nearby factories and oil depots, while those in the service sector are primarily employed in Makati, the country’s central business district. Nowadays, remnants of the old district are still visible; old Filipino houses are still all over the place which adds charm to the Pandacan. Some people are still living in these houses and some profit from them.
Tagpuan sa Pandacan
One of the old charming Filipino houses in Pandacan is turned into a restaurant. This food place became famous for its ambiance and generous Unli-wings bundle that costs only Php 279 ($5) per head. It also includes unlimited fries, rice, and drinks as well. Tagpuan sa Pandacan offers 12 flavors of chicken wings to choose from such as Sriracha, Buffalo, Honey Glaze, Garlic Parmesan, and more. They just recently opened in October 2021, marking a year anniversary just a few days ago, as of writing. Furthermore, they also have ala carte and bilao meals for take-outs. Their Bilao meals are ranging from Php 349 (12 pcs) – Php 999 (50 pcs). To wrap the feast up, they also have homemade desserts like mango graham, mango shakes, ice cream, milk tea, and more sweet goods available. Indeed a good place to go for barkada, dates, and family hang-outs!

- Discreet takeout is not allowed, will pay 3 times the charge once caught
