Aseana City in Parañaque, Philippines, is a bustling commercial and business district known for its strategic location along Manila Bay. It serves as a magnet for local and international enterprises and a thriving residential community. With its modern high-rises, shopping centers, entertainment venues, and green spaces, Aseana City offers a diverse urban experience. It is also home to landmarks like the City of Dreams and Solaire Resort & Hotel. These places exemplify the city’s innovation, making Aseana City a dynamic and central part of Parañaque’s landscape. Furthermore, it has recently introduced the rise of a remarkable mixed-use development that has been the talk of the town – Parqal Mall. This architectural gem, located on a sprawling five-hectare plot, has taken the city by storm. Offering a unique shopping and leisure experience like no other. In this blog, we will delve into the newest shopping center in Aseana City.

The name “Parqal” is a harmonious blend of “Park” and “Kalye,” the Filipino word for “street.” This unique wordplay perfectly encapsulates the mall’s vision. To have a green and pedestrian-friendly environment where visitors can enjoy the beauty of nature while strolling through the streets. It boasts a striking open architectural design, setting it apart from traditional malls. Its layout consists of nine interconnected four-story buildings that span the entire area between Macapagal Boulevard and Diokno Road. This unique structure creates an open and spacious environment, inviting visitors to explore and enjoy every corner of the mall. One of its most eye-catching features is its climate-protected “floating” canopy. This canopy is constructed using ETFE (ethylene tetrafluoroethylene), a sustainable material that allows ample natural light to penetrate while protecting from the elements. This not only enhances the mall’s visual appeal but also contributes to a comfortable and inviting atmosphere.

What to expect

Parqal Mall is designed with a strong focus on walkability and pedestrian mobility. Multiple entrance and exit points ensure that visitors can easily move around the campus, making it a pedestrian-friendly and accessible destination for anyone exploring Aseana City. Furthermore, Parqal Mall officially opened its doors in the third quarter of 2023. Welcoming residents and visitors to experience a shopping and leisure haven like no other. It will also soon home high-end boutiques, family-friendly dining, and entertainment for everyone.

Parqal Mall has just recently opened its doors, so it’s still in the early stages of development. Currently, there are only a few shops available for visitors to browse through. However, there are a number of restaurants already in operation, offering various dining choices for patrons. As time goes on, we can anticipate an expansion of the retail options, providing a more comprehensive shopping experience.
