Bonifacio Global City’s emergence as the Philippines’ leading central business and lifestyle district has been carefully cultivated through masterful planning and innovative design. This 240-hectare mixused expanse was meticulously crafted to offer a harmonious blend of living, working, and leisure experiences. The district boasts a range of residential neighborhoods, each with its unique charm, catering to diverse preferences and lifestyles. The roots of Bonifacio Global City trace back to the early 20th century when it was established as Fort William McKinley. The fort was named after the 25th President of the United States, William McKinley, and served as a military installation. However, in 1995, the transformation of this land commenced after around 1,090 acres were sold for development. Over the years, the area transitioned from a military base to a strategic economic zone. In 2003, BGC was officially designated as a Special Economic Zone by the Philippine government.

By creating a new central business hub for Metro Manila in addition to Makati, Bonifacio Global City has attracted significant attention. Notably, in 2018, the Philippine Stock Exchange moved to BGC, marking a pivotal moment. Furthermore, global giants such as Google, Unilever, and JP Morgan have established their presence within this district. This dynamic is well-incorporated into the master plan of BGC. Which encompasses prime residential ventures in Metro Manila and nurtures a lively dining and entertainment landscape. BGC proudly bears the moniker “A City with a Soul”. A title well-deserved for its commitment to creating an environment that goes beyond the physical aspects of urban development. Furthermore, the district’s landscape is dotted with lush parks, open spaces, and inviting gardens that provide fresh air. It also celebrates art in public spaces. Showcasing landmark murals and sculptures that add a touch of creativity to the everyday lives of its residents.

My Street High Street and Uptown

Bonifacio Global City’s charm is not limited to its sprawling residential areas. It’s also home to some of the metro’s most exquisite shopping, dining, and entertainment options. The district’s urban planning philosophy encourages an active street life and fosters a vibrant atmosphere that invites residents and visitors alike to explore its many facets. Moreover, High Street goes beyond shopping – it’s an exciting adventure. The area has all kinds of stores, from famous international brands to local shops, offering a wide variety of things to choose from. Whether you’re into fashion, electronics, beauty stuff, home items, and more, you can have a great time looking around and finding what you like. The pedestrian-friendly design encourages strolls, while benches and public spaces invite visitors to unwind. Furthermore, this fosters a sense of togetherness. Making High Street not just a shopping center but a gathering place for friends, families, and colleagues.

The Uptown Promenade hosts a variety of events, from weekend markets and art festivals to fitness classes and concerts. This approach not only draws visitors but also ensures that there’s always something new and exciting happening in the area. It features the upscale Uptown Mall with a variety of shops, catering to different preferences. Shoppers can explore a diverse range of fashion, lifestyle, and beauty products, making Uptown Mall a place where shopping becomes an adventure. When the sun sets, Uptown Promenade comes to life with its vibrant nightlife scene. Xylo and Revel are two of the most sought-after nightlife spots in Bonifacio Global City. Attracting a diverse crowd of partygoers and music enthusiasts. Furthermore, you can find here the “Park, Charge, Drive” Station. It offers a solution for electric vehicle owners.
