SM Mall of Asia Pasay – Philippines

It was opened in mid-2006, It is one of the largest Malls in Metro Manila by the largest mall chain and developer in the Philippines, SM Prime Holdings. Its abbreviation is SM MoA or simply MoA, situated in Bay City, Pasay City. MoA has four buildings interconnected by walkways; malls, entertainment, north and south parking buildings. The Main mall includes shopping, dining establishments while the entertainment area is mostly open-air such as resto-bars, KTV, buffet restaurants and it faces Manila Bay. It also has a theme park but that was during pre-pandemic, right now it’s non-operational.

The mall is refreshingly child-friendly, with ample places to rest, slurp an ice cream. One of the mall’s main attractions is the IMAX, the San Miguel-Coca Cola IMAX is the largest one in the country and one of the world’s biggest screens in 3D and 2D screenings.

Sports and events venues are also here like the SM Arena where PBA and UAAP are being held, SMX Convention Center for exhibits and trade expo, Esplanade is the event’s venue for parties, product launching and alike while Concert Ground also known as MoA Parking Ground when there are no events. Not only that, you will find here the Philippine first Olympic-sized Ice skating rink.

One of the Swedish companies will open up here in MoA Complex, the Ikea Philippines. Ikea is a place of affordable, quality furniture and home accessories for Filipinos. It will be open on November 25, 2021, and is located at Marina Way, Mall of Asia Complex Pasay City.
